Sous Vide Lids

If you have a sous vide circulator that runs in a container, getting a lid for it is a great idea. The main benefit is to eliminate (or at least drastically reduce) evaporation over long cooks. With a securely fitting lid, I can usually do a 176°F (80°C) for 24 hours without needing to add any additional water.

All of the pre-cut lids go with a certain type of sous vide container, so be sure to double check you are getting one that matches what you have. The more fluid "lids" like ping pong balls and plastic wrap will fit any container.

To see what lids fit what containers, I recommend my sous vide water bath systems article.
