Gum Arabic is made from the Acacia tree's resin found in the Middle East as well as parts of Africa and west Asia. It has been used for thousands of years to stabilize many foods such as emulsions, foams and drinks. Basically any task that requires binding different substances together or holding ingredients in a stable suspension can benefit from the addition of gum Arabic.
