This unique flavor combination uses sous vide infusing to add fresh ginger to macadamia nut oil for an amazing and versitile infusion.

Sous Vide Ginger Infused Macadamia Oil Recipe

  • Cooks:  155°F (68.3°C) for 24 hours
  • Serves: 200g

Ingredients for Sous Vide Ginger Infused Macadamia Oil

  • For the ginger Infused Olive Oil

  • 100g Diced fresh ginger (New season if available)
  • 200g macadamia nut oil (Substitute any light nut oil, such as hazelnuts)

Cooking Instructions for Sous Vide Ginger Infused Macadamia Oil

For the ginger Infused Olive Oil

Combine fresh ginger with oil in a Mason jar, sealing to finger tight only.

Place jar into sous vide with slight gap at top so lid isn't immersed.

Sous vide for 24 hours at 155°F (68.3°C).

Decant and filter, pressing ginger to release oil.

Fresh ginger will release some water during the extraction to remove this bottle into plastic bottle and place in freezer for several days to freeze any water into ice, decant de-watered oil and repack and label.
